One of the proudest achievements for KoOSK was developing the Birmingham
Insurance Institute website.
We where approached by the BII to not only develop
their website but rescue the online appearance of the BII after their first site
was previously shut down due to unforeseen circumstances.
KoOSK got to work immediately, firstly recover all that we could of the first website.
Once we where confident we had done all that we could to retrieve what was lost
we began to establish the requirements of the new site.
After sitting down with the senior members of the charity we established many
requirements and provided suggestions on functions that would add benefit to the
charity and its users to produce a complete list of requirements comprising of:
- A website that provides detailed information on the BII and what they do
- The ability for users to register there details online for mailing lists and to
access all areas of the site and store users information on a secure database.
- The ability to post news on the site as it happens along with the ability to
feature the news on the main page
- The ability to add, edit, delete and view events online through an easy to use
calendar function that displays future, past and present events.
- A simple, clean cut slide show on opening of the site to give a brief imagery
representation of Birmingham City.
- The ability to add new pages to the site quick and easily
- The ability to easily edit/update existing page information
- A website theme that ties in with the new Chartered Insurance Institutes
standards.
- The ability to produce news feeds, Email News letters, and mass emails online
quick and easily.
- Setup and host email accounts.
- Provide fast, reliable and unrestricted website hosting at a low cost.
Having met all the above requirements KoOSK are proud of the work we have
produced for the BII and likewise the BII have provided excellent positive
feedback for the work we have done along with recommendations to others.
We now maintain the BII site and provide updates and support when they are
required.
